  • 1.  Adobe Flash "Big Dot" Releases, and evaluation Policy....

    Posted Jun 11, 2014 06:32 PM

Patch Management has updated Adobe Flash 11 to 12 and 12 to 13 in the past. However, Adobe has released APSB14-16, which includes a "Small Dot" patch for 13, and a "Big Dot" upgrade for 14. Both were released in Patch Management today under the same bulletin. Machines are evaluating and applicable for 13.0.0.223, and it installs without issue (which is expected).

The question, will the clients already upgraded to 13.0.0.223, go through subsequent patch cycles be applicable for 14? Or will we need to upgrade to 14 via Software Delivery?

I get the whole "Big Dot" application recertification thing, just found it odd that with this cycle I havent seen 14 be applicable post patching to 13.0.0.223 after kicking off inventories and delta updates. Opposed to past patch cycles where patch performed the "Big Dot" releases for Flash.

    Thanks,

Same question here - I'm trying to deploy 14.0.0.125 - I even unchecked the 13.0.0.223 updates, but it's not showing my clients as applicable and distributing the update

In our tests it looks like it will not evaluate to install, looks like it will be rolled with a Managed SWD. Would be great if this information is known prior to KB release for fast movers that patch immediately.
