  • 1.  advanced attributes in SBG 8.0.2

    In SMS for MS Exchange there was a advanced attributes page to allow malformed mime headers.
    I can't find this page anymore on Symantec Brightmail Gateway VM 8.0.2. althoug it's noted in the help: Advanced Attributes page - Server Settings

    Can someone tell me where to enable malformed mime headers in this version?

    Hi Tom,

    To open Advanced Attributes

    From Adminstation select Alerts on the left...then take your mouse and clixk outside of the "Alert Settings" box...then press the right "Shift" key and "A" together.

    We have these settings hidden for a reason. Please do not make changes within this page without direction from support. If you need to allow what is considered as Malformed MIME encoding, however, this would be the place to do it. Otherwise please do not make other changes here without getting direction as this can adversely affect scanning of spam and other content.
