You can extend its capacity by adding disk volumes into disk pool.
It works with Storage Lifecycle Policy(SLP). SLP is more flexible than BasicDisk staging.

BasicDisk

You can not extend its capacity by NetBackup operation.
You need to extend filesystems to get more.
It can not work with SLP. BasicDisk staging is only option.

Now I know - we work only with SLP - so we need advanced disks ans no basic disks.

Bear in mind that you will need Enterprise Disk license to config Advanced Disk.
