After the MP1 for CMS 7.1 SP2 Installed, the PXE is broken on Site Servers
Hi everyone,
I've made the update of the MP1 for CMS 7.1 SP2 for my main NS Server with success.
But after enable the policy for upgrading the Site Server, the service PXE "SBSSERVER" _Symantec_netboot_Server service can't start anymore on all my site server (task server and package server).
The error is 'Windows could not start the _Symantec_netboot_Server service" because the SBSServer.exe isn't at that path Altiris\Altiris Agent\Agents\Deployment\Task Handler\SBS anymore. It seems that the Main server upgrade have caused the deletion of the exe "SBSServer.exe".
12 site servers(Server 2003 / 2008 / 2008R2 / Seven) so this problematic.
So i've tryed this : for the Server X64, I can copy the File "sbsserver.exe / sbsNSIFace.dll / SbsParsePXE.dll and SbsPXeOpts.dll" from the Main Server (2008R2)
But for the Site Server (X86) can I copy the folder "Task Server Handler" for X86 and Run the "TaskHandlerInstall_x86.bat" to fix this issue ?
Thanks a lot in advance for your help

I'd recommend trying a repair of Deployment Solution, per this thread:
https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/ins...
I'd also try just clicking 'Reboot Preboot Environment' and updating configurations on a bugged site server.

Or just uninstall and reinstall Deployment Site services through the console.

Hi
Thank's for your reply
For the first solution : Reboot Preboot Environment' and updating configurations on a bugged site server => Not Ok
So I found this article

You can run through the .msi steps manually, but running a repair of Deployment Solution through SIM will repair the same (and other) MSI's.
After repairing through SIM, then recreating preboot environment, then updating config on a broken site server, do you see correct behavior?
