Hello,

After i had successful upgrade SEPM from MR2 to MR3 i got an error at the admin page.

Every time i tryed to change Adminstrator password or Edit Adminstrator properties from the Admin > Tasks page i got the following error.

console error

Unexpected console error.[0x80010000]

MR3 release notes says that the change password issue is fixed and added some feature to change the expiration time for it but it seems not fixed or adding any new feature.

If anyone can tell me why i got that error or how to fix it please Help!

Thanks

I also had this same error (Unexpected console error (0x80010000) on several sites that have been migrated to MR3, I only got this when clicking on admin properties, the rename admin and change password worked correctly. All other function are working as normal.

It eventually went way, after a few days and I was able to access the properties as expected. Made me think I was going crazy, the error has not returned in a week since deployment.

Ok it's back, i just tried this at the one site where it has persistited and it worked fine while I was typeing the above message, logged back in and got same error, again only on admin properties page.

Now I think it is just messing with me :smileywink:

Hope this helps,

I saw this after we upgraded to MR2 and then again to MR3.  The problem was our server's NIC was being overloaded.  We had our clients heartbeat set to 5 minutes.  This is an extremely low number for the 5,000 clients we have.  We changed the heartbeat down to 4 hours, and the server's NIC activity dropped dramatically (after all clients got the update overnight, that is).  Check the heartbeat on your admin console.  Perhaps you have it set way too low, too.

Thanks for the feedback but the environments that I am seeing this is issue in are far below 5K clients, I am talking as little as 10 clients. We have set the heartbeat at 15 minutes per the SBS best practices doc provided by Symantec. The issue as described by Ibrahim is related to the database directly, perhaps corrupted. On the sites where I am seeing this issue it comes and goes, I could logon and it will produce the error, next day no error, next day error is back. Very frustrating.

This past weekend 50% of my managed sites all the clients stopped communicating with the manager and no updates were pulled from Symantec. Restart the DB and Manager service, evrything starts working again, what a pain.

These site were all migrated from MR2 or MR2 MP2 to MR3 with no errors.

Looks like its time to rip and replace, again. :smileysad:

search for this directory Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\ (in document and settings\<current user>\ application data)

found there directory like 6.0 (JRE version)

delete everything inside it

then run fron the browser http://YOUR_SERVER_NAME:9090/

and download new console link - it will work

Try doing a repair from Add or Remove Programs panel.

Hello,

I've had the same 0x80010000 error message when accessing the Administrators view (SEP Manager MR3), but after performing a Repair from Add/Remove Programs, the problem was gone. Thanks bekirdur for your suggestion!
