Hi,

I am about to check telnet and other communication settings (but the routers are not that locked down internally), but feels like something more general:

A lot of my desktops are not updating, not even if I right click 'Update Content'

What is the best thing to try?  I have specified multple GUPs (LU Policy) that appear in the GUP list on SEPM and look like they are GUP from what I have read, but 80% of clients are not updasying their virus defs.  We have turned off the otpion for  lient to update from SEPM if GUP is unavilable (to make sure bandwidth is down), so GUPs was first area I checked  but some in the same policy group are updating??

I used a package I created at 2 sites,  One site the package was manually run and second site via a deployment tool - there is no pattern to which ones are woring, not working.  SOME got an initial update when they were installed (the out of the box pakcage is dated 17/09/09), but  some are still on 17/09/09 and the rest have not had got anything since 10/11/09 - servers in different policy seem to be working, but they will be configured for updates from SEPM I guess.

In terms of GUP what is the best practice, manaully install SEP and get up tyo date, then add to LU polocu and push client to rest of site?i.e. do you always do gup.

Any help appreciated!  Driving me crazy!

Sorry, forgot to say,

I have moved them to a group that has a LU that uses SEPM (not a GUP) and the location is set to Pull mode, but still not getting update??

client has green light on it in SEPM as well??

Servers in the same datacenter (as SEPM) seem to be updating fine.
