    Hi Shiva,

I have moved your comment to a new topic.  Please provide more information, such as version, steps that you are taking to reproduce the problem, any other information that you can provide about your environment would be helpful.

    Try running this command:

     regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Altiris\Altiris Agent\Agents\Client Task Agent\Client Task Agent.dll"

Does this resolve the issue?  If not, try restarting the Altiris services.  Does this resolve the issue?

    Hi Shiva,

The issue comes when you see "Task Status" tab of a client with just installed Symantec Management Agent. This is because SM Agent of clinet takes some time to update this info with NS though the underline connection is established.

There are two ways to update it instantly -

    1. Try "Check for tasks" option given on "Task Status" tab of Altiris Agent/Symantec Management Agent.

    2. Restart Symantec Management Agent from services

Have you checked the the log viewer under the diagnostics of the Symantec Management Agent for a possible cause?
