AIX: Trouble in Software Inventory

Created: 31 Oct 2012 | 4 comments

we have some AIX servers (versions 5.2, 5.3, 6.1) deployed in our Altiris environment with Inventory Pack for server installed of course. We want to see all the softwares installed on them.

As you can see in the screenshot attached, we can see only the GUID of softwares. There is a way to show the full name of softwares?

Can you try to open Summaries (on top of the resource manger page) and choose Software Summary.

This report contains Product names of installed software.

Hi Andrei,

I've already seen that and Altiris give me a lot of stuff (even bash or X11), but i wish to have something like the section "add remove program" as the screenshot attached (note that is obviously a windows machine; maybe Altiris don't support a function like that in AIX systems?).

"Add/Remove Programs" section of Software Summary is populated for Windows systems only and information listed there is gathered from client computer MSI cache. For UNIX/Linux/Mac resources installed software packages are listed in "Installed Software" part.
