ALL of my clients have definitions from 10-31, the Primary server is up and running, when I check SSC, I don't see anything newer than 10-31-2009 for the definitions, shouldn't they be newer by now? My primary server IS up and running, and I don't see any "smoking gun" error messages. I made no changes at all and it was working fine, but now I don't see why this is occuring. I have 20 sites with parent servers, but they are not current, even the site wich I am in is not current, and the clients here are all pointing to the primary server.
Thank you

Does the primary server have

Does the primary server have the latest definitions?

Our primary server was also disabled with the definitions from 31st, Reboot made it okay.

De facto when AV does something, it starts jumping up and down, waving its arms, and shouting "Hey!  I found a virus!  Look at me!  I'm soooo goooood!"

Hi

Hello Bryan,

How you are updating your primary server ? internet ?

right click on primary server click on properties, check the virus defs date..make sure its latest

If you are updating through VDTM

check this discussion

https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/primary-server-does-not-update-liveupdate-distribution-center

if your liveupdate is schedule it might have failed, can you try doing a manual liveudpate download request, if that works, we need to check the permissions on DCOM as per this symantec doc

LiveUpdate fails when run from Symantec System Center or when scheduled

Please don't forget to mark your thread solved with whatever answer helped you : ) Rafeeq
