    Good morning,

    Ok here's a doozie...

We've got a couple of Notification Servers serving an environment that is getting upgraded to Windows 7 32-bit because of timing, we might not be able to move these endpoints to our Altiris 7.1 environment until after the Windows 7 migration occurs. I've been looking over the R13 release notes trying to determine if it is actually required to support these Win 7 workstations or not. I know there are several Win 7 related fixes, but I don't see any showstoppers that would keep us from using R11 until we can mvoe everything over to our 7.1 environment.

Does anyone out there have any other opinions on this? Are there any major gotchas with keeping R11 until we finish the migration and then move the environment over? We pretty much just use INV & SWD in this particular environment.

    Any input would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    DCHAD

I won't comment on NS6 but what about provisioning the rebuilt computers directly into your NS7 environment?

I'll assume that you're using DS6.9 to do the OS install.  Part of that process should be NS agent install... why not install the 7.1 agent and point them to the new server?

I have my NS 6 server living happily with Win 7 32 bit and 63 bit machines . Haven't seen any major glitches!
