Altiris 7 - Development

Hi all
I am tasked with estabilishing a test environment for Altiris 7.0.
We are currently running 6.5 and will eventually upgrade to 7.0
I am having some issues actually getting a download of the CMS to install.
Can anyone help?

Test environment considerations...
Just some tihngs to think about for running your CMS 7 environment...
-Try to virtualize if you can. I am running 3 NS's for 7 in a vritual environment with very little impact to performance.
-Play with Hierarchy. You find some good things & bad things with the Hierarchy setup especially with Forwarding.
-Dig deep. The SMP 7 stuff is a leap ahead of the 6.x in many ways but you will find bugs.
Also, there will be an upcoming beta of AMS 7 as well. It is currently a closed beta but will be opening up soon so you will have that to test as well for your 7 environment.

Thanks cnpalmer, I am definately going to virtualise the 7 environment.
I have a lot to learn about it, but am looking forward to it.
From what I have seen thus far, its a pretty impressive step forward for Altiris
I am hitting an issue when
I am hitting an issue when trying to export from our 6.x server to a datastore using the NS Migration Wizard.
Get to the Select products screen and says No products found.
Any ideas why this might be?
NS 6 Wizard...
Where are you running the wizard from... stand-alone or during the SMP install?

When I had installed 7 on the
When I had installed 7 on the new server it said to run the wizard on the old server to export data
I did this, so I would suggest its stand alone.
Minimum version
Is there a minimum version of Altiris that will work with this tool? Just noticed we are on version 6.0 of Notification Server :(
Do I have to configure any connectors or plug-ins?
I am still looking for a readme for this tool

I just dont see the products in the list.
Should support al 6.x databases... so still at a loss here
6.x requirements
You have to upgrade to the minium list of requirements before going to 7.
Go to your configuration tab, then to licenses and installed products. Your console has to be at 6.5 and all your other solutions shoud be upgrade to the higest version before going to 7.
