Hi All,

i just updated my NS to 7.1 SP2 MP1.

After that, i found i cannot deploy Inventory Agent to client computers.

i look into the "Inventory Plug-in Install" Policy and found "Package name:   Inventory Plug-in for UNIX/Linux/Mac Package".

i don't know whether it is related.

Please help.

Check in the logs if you get package can not be build XML errors. I if so the mp1 update maybe broke the swd advertisement association.. If you have a working mp1 system have a detailed export of the package and import it on your broken system.

Thanks for your reply. I find the situation only happen to several PC only. those PC includes Windows 7 32 bit and 64 bit...

Is there any log in client computer about the solution install? i can find only the SMP agent log only but NOT the inventory agent installation log.

As its handled by policies, plugin installations usually only show up in the normal agent log. Package download, execution etc.

To the problem itself, the Symantec Management Agent on the affected PCs is up to date? Which version? Is the Symantec Management Agent Upgrade Policy (Non Site Server) turned on? With MP the Agents should be version 8400.

If they are not up to date they dont get any plugin installs if I remember the target right.
