I've scoured the InterWebs and no one seems to be talking about this. Does anyone have either the DS agent or the NS agent working with the Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard? I've tried installing the agent on a fresh OS X 10.6 install with no joy. I've also taken a Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) machine with working Altiris adlagent and NS agent and just upgraded the OS to 10.6 with the same failed result, no connection to the DS server.  If anyone has a work around or hack to get the agents running under Snow Leopard, please post. BTW. I'm running NS7 and DS 6.9 SP3 (DS adlagent: altiris-adlagent-2.67-74).
