  • 1.  Altiris Agent Over VPN - ports?

    Hi,

    Are there any port that need to be open for the agent to communicate with the NS server when connected over a VPN.
    Who initiates communication. Is it the agent when connected or the server ?

    The Agent establishes a connection to server port TCP 80 for HTTP and server port TCP 443 for SSL.

    The source port (on the agent - outbound) is arbitrary.

    And yes, its always the agent who initiates a connection. If an agent can be "pushed" it must have a small service included (from the network view).
