This issue has been solved. See solution.
Does any one know if and when the will release Application Control Solution for NS7? We have purchased this back in v6 and wondering if it will be moving over to v7.

This becomes Application Metering
This becomes Application Metering, part of Inventory Solution in CMS7. You can meter applications (monitor usage patterns, like time of day they use an application, how long they use it, # of times they use it, etc) and blacklist applications (deny applications from running). Application Metering requires an Application Metering plug-in to be installed on the computer, and it only runs on Windows.
You can read about it in the Altiris Inventory Solution 7 SP1 User's Guide, beginning on page 85:

This is not application
This is not application control, It was a seperate purchase from Altiris.
It is my understanding
Last I heard, Application Control would be available on Altiris 7 in Q1 2010.
MClemson,
Maybe you are thinking of Application Management? Yeah, I know...too much alike...:-)

No, I am thinking Application
No, I am thinking Application Control which I think might have been renamed to Altiris Privilege Management Essentials Basic. It was a seperate bundle purchase. We have the "not so TMS" and purchased this along with Workflow seperate. Not not have seen a date on when it would be in production. It not only give you the ability to blacklist but whitelist appliacations and elevate rights.
Indeed, Q1 2010
Here's a press release:
http://www.arellia.com/news/2009/11/3/arellia-now-symantec-developer-program-partner.aspx
From the article:
Arellia currently supports the 6.x versions of the Symantec Management Platform. The company also announced plans to release updated versions of Arellia Local Security Solution and Arellia Application Control Solution that will support version 7.0 of the Symantec Management Platform by the end of Q1 2010.
You can read more about the products at http://www.arellia.com/solutions.aspx
Once it's released in Q1 2010, download will be available via the Symantec Installation Manager. Support will come from Arellia in a separate support agreement, the purchase will be of an Arellia (not Symantec or Altiris) product, and the KnowledgeBase will be separate (http://www.arellia.com/support.aspx).
Hope that helps answer your question.

Good info...
I asked our AE about this and he referred me to our sales guys. Our SE is checking and will get back to me soon. We already bought LSS 6.x and are current on AUP, so any licenses or support had better be included in our standard agreement. I'll post back when I have more information.
Thanks,
Kyle

Application Control 7
By my calendar first quarter ended last week. Has anyone seen an update on when or if they will be releasing a product?
I was wondering the same
I was wondering the same thing.
We are having some issues
We are having some issues with the product in version 6. Apparently the product is shifting to Arellia in development and future support. When a customers current contract expires, Arellia will handle the product support calls. Well we have not really got the product to run the way we would like and the newest version of App Control interfers with the Local Security product (Which is also going to be a Arellia product in the future).
Version 7 Out Now
I'm installing the new ACS and LSS on our test system now.
