Try running the task "Gather Inventory" (full inventory) - and after this run "Send inventory". Check out this video https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/videos/creating-task-gather-inventory-video Still no luck try this http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=HOWTO32482

Hit "Send Basic Inventory" on one mssing client and check the log files on both the client and server.

Or before "Send Basic Inventory"......run the task: "Gather Inventory" (Full Inventory) on the client.

Are you in a hierarchy? (I see this is Toyota, which could be large.) If so, are you sure this computer resource is replicated to the Notification Server you're using?

    Hi All,

Thanks so much for your help.

I've already used function "Send basic inventory" then checked from Altiris Console and check raw data in SQL server I can found inventory from that client but just around 5 minutes, that client lost from my console and SQL server again. crying

For task "Gather Inventory Full", I sent this command since yesterday but today status still "running" (I think the result is failed)

For "Hierachy" mode, I think the implementor did not configured this function for me, found only NS server no site server in "Hierachy" (I don't know this function is needed or not if yes could you please help to suggest me)

I am getting this on at least one of my PCs as well. I also found this in the client logs through RAAD:

event date="Jan 18 15:02:37" severity="2" hostName="MYCOMPUTER" source="ConfigServer" module="AeXNSAgent.exe" process="AeXNSAgent.exe" pid="4712" thread="2460" tickCount="13130011"><![CDATA[RequestPolicies failed: Unexpected response from URL http://MYSMP/Altiris/NS/Agent/GetClientPolicies.aspx: The system type is invalid for the specified resource (c09ff4b4-5238-42c5-bc2c-62f16e334295) This condition is temporary and will resolved when basic inventory is received from the resource (-2147213056)]]></event>

When it tries to send basic inventory it seems to fall on deaf ears and the SMP does not process it.

So the client is in a loop of sorts. cant get policies so it tries to send basic inv which fails.

Only the inventory data is lost, correct? The system remains known to the console, you can launch resource manager, it shows up in vComputer in SQL, etc?

Please check the below mentioned article: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH142625

We have seen this issue being caused by the shared guids (Multiple resources trying to use same guid which Ideally should be unique).

Also make sure that the Notification server events are getting proccessed on the server which means you should not see a kind of message that says "event not processed" or "failed to process event" in the log viewer.

    Hi,

Also, do not forget to check license status in Symantec Installation Manager
