Client Management Suite

Hi.

I am new to Altiris and have been assigned the administration of Client Manament Suite. The environment I am working in right now is using LANDesk as its desktop management solution. We will be moving to Altiris Client Manament Suite 7.1 by the end of the month.

One of the first tasks I am working on is getting the client installed on all our workstations. We would like to run it concurrenlty with the LANDesk agent until we are ready to abandon LANDesk completely. That being said, does anyone know if will we encounter any issues having both agents/clients running on the workstations at the same time?

Any help would be appreciated.

To be honest we havent come across this kind of issue. i can suggest to test with 1 computer and see the status. it should work.

I would not expect any issues, as the SMA runs fine alongside the SCCM Agent as well as other vendors, so the LANDesk agent shouldnt be any different.

Two remote control agents can be problematic. I'd remove the LANDesk one and make the target of pcAnywhere exclude PCs that still have it.
 

I concur with andykn101 only issue is likely to be when remote controling as both products hook into the same files. Other than that no issues expected.
