This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hello,

I would like to know whether there is some documentation of the CMDB Database. I would like to have a look at it since we are considering building some Reports using Analysis Services and for that reason I need to know the tables and the columns.

In specific, and in case anyone has done it already, we want two reports:

- one that shows the Software on the managed Servers that are under our main Altiris Server. The report that exists in Altiris Reporting seems sufficient for that.

- one that shows us the hardware (RAM, CPU, etc.) of all Servers that are managed.

Thanks in advance

Hi

Have you looked into IT-Analytics for Altiris?

IT-analytics contains preset cubes and an easy reportbuilding tool to make exactly what you are looking for.

Torb

Reverting: Certainly looks

Reverting:

Certainly looks interesting and would provide us with even more than we ask for, but I see it is accompanied by costs :-)

Since I don't know if we want to invest more into Altiris yet, I would still appreciate some CMDB documentation in order to try to implement some reports on our own.

Thank you

No Cost for ITA

Recently the IT Analytics solutions for CMS, SMS, SD are now included within the suites as long as you have current maintenance. Check with your local Symantec SE for details.

Any new purchases get ITA included.

This means that it should be

This means that it should be included in the updates to our Altiris Management Suite? But I guess this doesn't include the cubes and we would have to pay for them, right?
