  • 1.  Altiris CMS 7.1 - PC anyWhere Plug-In

    I have just applied the latest pcAnywhere patch to our Altiris CMS 7.1 server. I wanted to check the agent\plug-in configurations to ensure that no changes have been made after I applied the patch. I have noticed two plugins that seem to be very similar. Once is called "pcAnywhere Plug-in for Windows - Upgrade" which is enabled and the other is "Push of pcAnywhere Plug-in for Windows - Upgrade", which is not enabled. Could anyone inform what is the difference between these two pcAnywhere plug-ins and if they both should be enabled or should I leave as is. Thanks, Greg City of Victoria

     "Push of pcAnywhere Plug-in for Windows - Upgrade" looks more like a clone then a built in policy. Right click and view as xml, if there is no <itemAttributes>NoDelete</itemAttributes> after productguid its a clone.

    Thanks SaschaH. I wasn't sure if the update I applied added that entry. I checked the XML and you are right, it is a clone. Likely created previously for some specific reason.
