Deployment Solution

Hi,

Currently, we are using Altiris DS 6.9 and have a complete hardware independent imaging process for OS deployment. The process is as follows:

1. Win x86 Prepare disk (Wipes the disk)

2. Copy the drivers (A condition is set for the models to copy the drivers)

3. Install OS (Built-in Scripted OS install job is used with Answer file to install Windows 7)

4.Join to the domain

5. Install Applications (Standard Softwares , Symantec Management Agent).

We will be discontinuing DS 6.9 and moving to Altiris Deployment Solution 7.6.  I would like to achieve similar process in Deployment Solution 7.6 using scripted OS install (using WIM file). How can I achieve it ? I would appreciate if anyone can guide me through the process. Any tutorial, HowTo or video would be a great help.

I would also be very interested in this information. I am in a similar situation that we are migrating from 6.9 to 7.6 but whomever built the 6.9 setup didn't have it laid out as elegantly as you do.  I am trying to setup the 7.6 environment and am running into some issues and would love to see/read any tutorial/how to resource that are available.
