In the logs you can see what NS they connect to, and there's a pectagent.ini file that points them to the correct NS. Some customers have found in a hierarchy some "weird" things relative to this, where the system boots, and then checks into the wrong system.
Also, from the command prompt, run taskmgr and see if PectAgent is even running. maybe it's crashing and thus wont check in.
It's a good place to start. Read the log files - they generally will tell you what it's doing. OR call support and we'll read them for you. :D
