Symantec Management Platform 7.0 (all service packs and hot fixes)

The Windows icon cache is not refreshed automatically when Symantec Management Platform is installed. This is a known issue with Microsoft Windows.

Solution

You need to force Windows to update the icon cache.

You can do this from the Display Properties dialog box, as follows:

  1. In the Display Properties dialog box, in the Settings tab, make a change to either the Screen resolution setting or Color quality setting.
  2. Click Apply, and then click Yes to confirm the change.
  3. In the Settings tab, restore the original setting to undo the change that you have just made.
  4. Click Apply, and then click Yes to confirm the change.
  5. Click OK to close the Display Properties dialog box.
