    Hi,

    We have Altiris CMS with Inventory solution Plug-in version 7.1.7580

    we have test it in Windows 8 Pro (6.2.9200) but the inventory solution cannot be installed on the machine.

    Please help.

    Windows 8 is not supported until 7.5 release later this year.

    Hum, late plan ?

    Our customers expectation of the support from a "computer management platform", with a "strategic partnering with Microsoft" as said from Symantec: they are feeling normal to wait for a maximum 1 month after the official out of the new OS version.

    They do not plan to migrate immediatly, and probably wait a sp1, but they start "pilot", and if starting "pilot" without Altiris agent, how can they deploy their softwares ? Manually ? Yes they will do, but not happy with that !!

    When will be later this year ? The official out of Windows 8: 26th October, well if 7.5available before 26th November we will be in the target :)
