ITMS Administrator Group

Hi, I have a question when I tried to install Altiris IT managemenet suite 7.5, it only download serveal installation packages when these packages download from install manager, how can I install these package automatically? this is my server hardware and software specification

 

 

CPU: i5

RAM: 4 RAM

OS: windows 2008 server R2 32-bit

 

 

Any missing thing? please kindly advise!

If you are running Windows 2008 r2, then you have a x64 system, so I am confused by your 32bit mention?? If sim is installed on Windows 2008 r2, it will provide you with a [begin install] button once it has: 1) downloaded all msi files relating to the products you have selected. 2) confirmwd all prerequisites have been met. 3) confirmed your license agreement answers. 4) confirmed the configuration information you entered. If, on the otherhand, sim is not installed on Windows 2008 r2, it will only allow you to create an installation package once it has downloaded the relevant msi files.

Thx your response, I tried to install installation manager on the win 2008 server x64, it doesn't and show some installation interrrupt message. but x86 does.

There is no x86 Windows Server 2008 R2.

To install ITMS you must have Windows Server 2008 R2, which is always 64 bit and you must start by installing Symantec Installation Manager (SIM), either stand alone or as part of an installation package.

If you have trouble installing SIM, try looking in the log files.
