Symantec Management Platform (Notification Server)

Hello, i need to install Altiris 7.1 or 7.0 in Altiris. Where is the download product??

I need to install the Altiris NS 6.0 and upgrade to the 7.1???

You need to download the Symantec Installation Manager, or SIM, from a trialware link on any of Symantec's Altiris pages.

Here's a link to the Client Management Suite page, which has a Trialware link:

Then log in using your SymAccount (or create a new one if you don't have one) and download SIM.  SIM is installed on the server that will host Altiris, and it prepares the server for the Altiris installation and then installs the solutions for you.

If you install on Windows Server 2003 32-bit, you'll be able to download and install SMP 7.0 and solutions.  If you install on Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit, you'll be able to download and install SMP 7.1 and solutions.

I downloaded the SIM, i put the license, i downloaded all the modules, but i dont find the SMP  what´s the name of the installer???

It's installed by SIM.  After launching SIM, click on Install new products, then change the first filter to Product Type and the second filter to Platform.  This will install the Symantec Management Platform.

If you already installed a solution suite, it will have automatically installed SMP for you.

i execute the wizard of SIM, then it´s give me the Wizzard : "available products"  and i had select "symantec installation Manager, then i  check the symantec Management platform MP1.

but above shows me the"output location", is ok this??' i have to put the Output location  where the zip file should be created???

I'm not sure what you mean.  Does it say C:\Program Files\Altiris?  This is the installation directory where Altiris and all solutions and data will be stored.  Ensure it has enough space for your install or evaluation.

YES it say  C:\Program Files\Altiris. the solutions and data is stored in  C:\Program Files\Altiris\Symantec Installation Manager\Installs\Altiris

there i have the Altiris_activity center, symantec_asdk_agent_di_x64, etc... and others installers  .MSI.

So, i have Symantec_SIM_7_1.exe, but, when i executed this program, it´s make a loop of installer, because, it´s show me the SIM installer, and others applications of altiris  like "pc anyware" and SMP plataform, but it doesn´t install the  SMP when i check the box.
do you have a MSN to speek with you about this problem?

So you are presented with an 'Install new products' page, and when you change the filter to Platform, and check the box next to Symantec Management Platform, and click Next, nothing happens?  It should move you through prompts to provide contact information, application credentials, database location, etc.
