Altiris Patch Management 6.x and Windows Installer Upgrades

Does anyone know whether Patch Management automatically handles new Windows Installer version upgrades when they're released? Just wondering. Thanks!

Clint,
I don't know that Altiris would support adding these automatically (in fact they haven't, with the exception of Windows Installer 3.1 v2, which should be listed in your list of Bulletins). You could submit an Idea to have WI 4.5 (for example) included so it can be deployed via Patch.
Otherwise, it would be a Software delivery/Software Management package you would need. I would expect a fairly straight-forward one to run the .exe with /quiet /norestart most likely (I didn't check the command line options available).
