  • 1.  Altiris Patching on running application.

    Hi all,

    how altiris deal with running system. Means if there is particular application require a patches but the application is always runnning or its still running. How altiris will apply the patch ?  Will altiris force the application to be closed ?

    It is just using standard vendor mechanism.

    In general: If the application was running during the patch cycle, you will have to reboot the machine.
