Deployment Solution

Hello again.

I booted up a client and it was known the the DS 7.1 console. I tried agiving it a job that would deploy an image. The pc rebooted and now it only says:

Altiris pre-select automation processing

PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel PXE ROM

The image was never deployed it just keeps saying this and going round in circles.

How could i stop it doing this so i can give it the job again?

The job i set up was.

-reboot to automation

-deploy image

-reboot to production.

When you say "I booted up a client and it was known the the DS 7.1 console ", does this mean the client was deleted from the console?

If so, you need to remove the client's record from the SBS store.

E:\Program Files\Altiris\Altiris Agent\Agents\Deployment\Task Handler\SBS\SBSStore

Make sure that you have the most current BIOS on the Client.

PXE keeps its own database of clients, if u delete the client from the console, restart the PXE Server service to get a new list of clients from NS.  the files under sbsstore are already processed files and they are receipts of transactions that already occurred.

I am formatting the new machines from Altiris Server .. The machine is picking up the DHCP server IP address and is able to detect the IP address of altiris server. but in next step it gives a error

PXE-M0F : Exiting PXE ROM.

If anybody is having solution please post on this forum.
