From what I can see it looks like those have to do with patching or just when inventory is ran. A lot of our PCs reboot daily but they only show up once in month in the Evt_Reboot table. The Inv_Reboot_History table doesn’t exist for us. I think what I’d need to do is create a custom data class, which I’ve done then set the custom inventory to run on each bootup, but I haven’t been able to find a way to do that yet.
I also see under 6.0 Legacy Reports, Assets and Inventory, Inventory, Unix, Operating System; a Computer Reboot History report. From what I’ve seen online those aren’t the easiest to get to work. We are looking into this for Linux PCs, so this report might be just what we need. The SQL query is pretty easy but again the Inv_Unix_RebootHistory table doesn’t exist.
Another possible way of doing this is by running a task with the command “last reboot” and having “Save script output with task status” checked. This shows all the reboots for the linux machines, but we’d have to go into each machine to see this. Is there a way to export all of those results to a report?
Would it be best to try to get inventory to run on each bootup, to figure out the Legacy Report, finding a way to export the results of a task to a report, or is there a better way?
