I need to upgrade our Altiris to 7.5 SP1
    from 7.5 HF4.
It means first to 7.5 HF6 and then to 7.5 SP1.

    Of course Using SIM .
I have selected HF6 hotfix to install and SIM returns me the following error:

The following products were unable to be verified for download.
    Symantec Management Platform 7.5 HF6 (7.5.1676)
Check your internet connection and click Retry, or click Cancel to go back and modify your selection.

Of course the internet is working.
    Where is the problem?

    Hi,

Does ping to www.solutionsam.com works from your server?

    Thank you,

    Alex.

Alex, I think the sym servers were available. Because yesterday I had the same error and concurrently I was successfuly doing (running, downloading) installation of SP1 in my testing environment.

After I created new case and this forum, I have found following RANDOM solution:

    My solution:

    - I skipped HF6 installation and tried to directly go through SP1 installation wizard
    - and what happened, it started checking the software without error
    - I stopped it immediately
    - I tried to go through  HF6 installation wizard again
    - and BINGO! it works now, so HF6 installed
    - and now the SP1 is installing.

OK, good if it's works now. Sometimes akamai server down in specific geo location and this causes SIM to think "No Internet, OMG".

It might be that your pl was not updated and after you have switched to SP1 it got updated and things starts working. No sure, thought..

    Thank you,

    Alex.
