This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hi,
Does Altiris supports the SEP client installaion on RHEL environment? any one of you has experienced that?

I'll appreciate if any one of you can share his thoughts with me.

We want to deploy SEP client on Linux servers through Altriris Client manage suite.

Regards/Majed.

Can you confirm the SEP client install

is even supported in Linux? All my documentation shows it is not, and it references Symantec Anti-Virus for Linux client. You could probably configure regular Altiris software delivery to deploy a Red Hat package, but not the integration solution.

Hi if you speek about SEP to

Hi

if you speek about SEP to be installed on Linux, I assume that you mean SAV for Linux (CD 2 of SEP). SEP itself is not installable on Linux only WIN and MacOS with next release RU6. RHEL 4 and 5 are gernerally supported in SAVfL, but it is very much depending on the kernel as otherwise the AP is not working. Check the release notes on your SEP CD2. FYI SYMC released some days ago SAVfL 1.0.9 which is part of SEP RU6 (ETD 6th of April).

Altiris supports various distributions, as per attached link:

Hope this helps, otherwise pls feel free to come back.
