We love the initial deployment choices in CMS 7.1 SP2. In fact, it sometimes makes imaging through the console seem like a chore. Imaging through the console works great if you're reimaging a machine that had the agent and boots into windows.
It's more complicated when a computer had the agent but now doesn't boot properly.. technician PXE boots it once, gets job that was sent through console, then walks away and forgets when machine gets job with first step reboot to PXE - it will reboot itself and they have to hit F8 again and force it to go to WinPE to actually get to the imaging part of the job.
I understand technicians just need to be trained - but it does seem like extra work - it would be great if there was some option in CMS/DS that when PXE booted, always show Initial Deployment choices (my default is reboot to production after 90 seconds in the case of an accident). PXE booting only works in a very limited IP scope so there isn't much risk for us of users somehow PXE booting, etc.
There's no way to do this already that I'm missing is there?
