  • 1.  AMS on Netware

I've just installed Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition on my Netware servers.  My servers are managed, the clients are unmanaged.  The program is working fine.  However, two days after the software was installed it found a virus (which is good).  Unfortunately I didn't  notice it until a day later.  I'd like to install the AMS feature so that if one of my servers gets a virus I will be notifed.

I worked with support yesterday for an hour and we couldn't get it installed.  What the engineer told me is that Netware is a very reliable OS and doesn't get many viruses.  And, the AMS hogs all the server's memory.

Before I give up on the product, has anyone successfully installed AMS on a Netware server after the Symantec AntiVirus has already been installed.  And, what about the memory issues?  Have you run into that?

Thank you.  Yes, I have.  Problem is that I didn't originally install AMS so it would need to be reinstalled.  Symantec says I don't need to uninstall everything and start from scratch.  But we couldn't get it going.
