  • 1.  Answer file not being used

    Hi,

    I am using DS 6.9 SP4 along with HIIS 6.9.0.1633.

    I have created a Windows 7 Image by following the process in HIIS user guide (after configuring HIIS & DS, after collecting drivers etc.).

    I have created the answer file using HIIS and saved it as filename.xml in ./HIIS/Sysprep folder.

    During the deployment it seems that answer file is not being used, becuase after the deployment it asks me for language, username, computername etc. After the deployment, I could not see answewr file in c:\windows\panther folder, however there is a task in deployment job to copy the file here. I am not sure if it is getting removed after the deployment.

    Any clues please?

    We copy our to two folders on the HD. %WINDIR%\System32\Sysprep\unattend.xml and %WINDIR%\Panther\unattend.xml. Does not seem to have a problem using it there.

    Which HII User Guide are you referring to? What commands are  you using when you "sysprep" your os before taking an image? You should use generalize and oobe.
