  • 1.  anti virus server can't update from symantec

    i have a network contain over 50 pc and connected to anti vrius which connected to cyberom firewall

    the problem that tthe server can't make update from internet wile the client which connected to the internet updated dirictly from internet

    and the clients which have not internet access not updated .

    i tried to clean the anti virus definiion but still not working

    end point protection

    You  need to check if your server is able to reach symantec liveupdate server; I think your firewall is blocking the connection

    If are using proxy; u need to configure it as per this document, the proxy account should have access

    we are not use proxy server, and i test the firewall as you said and it's not blocked the connection

    Open SEPM

    admin

    servers

    click on local site

    and select show liveupdate downloads ( what is the definition date you see)

     

     

    1. Open a command prompt browse to:
      C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\bin
    2. Type lucatalog -cleanup and press Enter.
    3. C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\bin
    4. Type lucatalog -update and press Enter
    5.  
    6. Run LiveUpdate to verify that there are no errors.

    click on start 

    run

    type luall.exe ( what do you get? )
