Anti-virus system center console question

I've been tasked with getting alerts up and running for our anti-virus installation.  How can I find info on setting up alerts / configuring alerts when virus/attacks are detected?

Hello,
 
For clarification, when you say "system center console", are you referring to SEPM or the SSC for legacy SAV?
 
Section 1 of the Administration Guide covers viewing and configurating reports and notifications for SEP. You can download the guide from http://www.symantec.com/business/support/documentation.jsp?language=english&view=manuals&pid=54619.
