Hi Guys,

Currently, I'm running Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 and configured Antivirus and Antispyware policy and set "Enable Internet Email Auto-Protect" to Disable. But the clients are showing Antivirus and Antispyware protection OFF (Fix)..How should I resolve this issue!!

Thanks
Raj

What build of SEP 11.0 are you using? What OS? 32 or 64bit? Are all clients experiencing this issue?

Repair your Antivirus

You can repair your antivirus for that you should have Admin rights
then go to control panel and select SEP11-you will see a change or remove button-click on change-click next-select repair-follow the next steps
after completing your antivirus will work
if not scan your hdd in secondry with another antivirus
your system if is infected then you should clean it first then try to install the antivirus
if still you face the same problem you can scan with Mcafee SDAT which cleans your system thorougly.

I dont think so

I dont think so there is a need to scan with a diffrent antivirus or anything..
As mentioned Sandip sali once you lock these options in the SEPM Manager this will be resolved.

If it is still not getting resolved please update us we can provide a alternate solution and in that case the issue might be diffrent.

Re

Is this your first install? Click the SEP icon on system tray click update policy. Try also to reset the smc.exe on services which is the SEP client. Then reboot.

@ Raj I have seen this

@ Raj

I have seen this problem before on some clients. I usually uninstall and reinstall SEP.
To make it a bit easier you can use clientremote.exe (Push Deployment Wizard) which is found in the tools folder on the second install zip file. What I do is copy the push deployment wizard and the SEP client install EXE files to each of the domain controllers (each DC is on it's own subnet) which makes deploying/installing SEP much faster.
