Antivirus and Antispyware Protection Log History" Scan logs still showing status "Scanning.....".

I have installed Symantec End point protection Version 11.0.6200.754 on my Laptop. I have started  4 days back manual scan for C:/. After 4 days also in "Antivirus and Antispyware Protection Log History" Scan logs still showing status "Scanning.....". It may include scheduled scan also in it, then status will  show multiple scanning that will eat more memory. How should I avoid such a situation.

Note:- After reboot also status shows scanning..... In Risk logs shows nothing.

Please help.

Check to see if rtvscan.exe is using any CPU. If not, than it is not scanning and you can expect it to start back up on the next scheduled scan to correct itself.
