Antivirus for CIFS share ?

Can anyone please suggest me what is the suggested method to scan CIFS share presented by the EMC storage array NAS component ?

I have got SEPM v 12.1.2 and SNAC component eligible for me to deploy.

Thanks for the reply, so in this case I shall login as local system admin of the file server and create the scheduled on demand scan defined locally ?

Symantec has a specific product designed for scanning NAS drives: Symantec Protection Engine for NAS:

You can setup SEP to scan the shares as well per below:

Symantec Scan/Protection Engine for Network Attached storage can opeate in conjuction with several NAS systems to provide AV scanning on Shared Network Resources including some NAS Solutions from EMC using the EMC CAVA connector. You may want to contact your NAS vendor to find out if it offers the ability scan files.

Thanks all for the advice, so it seems that I must purchase another tool just for scanning the CIFS share wihtout having to configure the SEPM to do the custom scan locally as attached network drive.

I have asked my manager and he doesn't want to spare additional licensing cost for that reason.
