Hello all,
To preface my question.
It is my understanding that SEP on PC has a built in real time protection (maybe I am using the wrong term). Basically, when enabled, it will scan any file that is launch/accessed.
It is my understanding that SEP can not be loaded on MAC’s instead SAV is loaded.
Here is my question.
Does the MAC SAV client have a real time protection feature?
Is there a link that I can show that this correct or not?

Hello,We do have SEP for MAC
Hello,
We do have SEP for MAC OS.
SEP for Mac became available with SEP 11 RU6 in April 2010.
SEP for Mac is not managed by SACM; it is managed by Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) on a PC.
It is possible to install SEP for Mac directly over a SAV or NAV for Mac client: there is no need to uninstall the older software first.
SEP 11.x for Mac supports the PowerPC (G4 minimum) or Intel processors; PowerPC support was dropped in SEP 12.1
OS X 10.7 requireds SEP 11 RU7 MP1 or SEP 12.1 RU1 and newer.
OS X 64-bit mode is supported.

Does this SEP MAC version include Firewall?
Firewall? There is no
Firewall?
There is no firewall in NAV, SAV, or SEP for Mac. The only Symantec firewall for Macintosh currently is in the consumer product line (e.g. Norton Internet Security and Norton Personal Firewall).
Enhancement Request
Followers of this thread may wish to cast a vote in favor of the following proposed enhancement request ("Idea"):
Add Firewall to SEP for Mac

Some Ideas that have gathered widespread support, in the past, have been added to the SEP product.
With thanks and best regards,
