  • 1.  Antivirus only runs once and can never run it again

    I've had a problem since installing Endpoint. I can scan first time and it runs. If I try it the next day it wont even launch the box which says its started a scan. Nothing happens. I've tried full scans, scans I've setup etc. It happens to all my colleagues in the office as well. We have to remove and reinstall the software for it to work again.
    I'm using Windopws xp sp3 on a dell laptop using symantec endpoint version 11.0.2020.56 with latest updated virus definitions.

    hi,
    are these managed client ( reporting to SEPM)? If yes, is there AV policy reading the scan should be run in background (silent)

    can you look into client scan logs, does it read the logs triggered/. This can be done by opening the client GUI --> View logs --> Antivirus and Antispyware scan logs...

    I would recommend you upgrade to the latest SEP 11 (MR4 MP2). There have been many issues fixed since the MR2 MP2 release.
