    Hi,

Got to know from one of our partner that while they are transferring files, due to antivirus scanning the transfer rate is getting slow. They have given some of list of folders for which scanning has to be excluded. Is that possible ? Please help..

    Regards,

    Anishk

Yes, you can add these in the exceptions policy for SEP.

    What SEP are you running?

Log in to SEPM and go to Policies >> Exceptions and select your policy. Click Exceptions and you can add them here.

    If SEP 12.1 see here:

    If SEP 11.x see here:

You can also modify the following settings, check this screen-shot.

Select an option "Scan when file is modified".

Please let me know whether it is one time reqirment or perment

If it one time you can stop sep client.

    If it is routine process

With SEP 12 exclude perticular file/folder from autoprotect scan and dont exclude it frrom schedule scan.

If SEP 11 is used then go with Chetan's advice.
