This issue has been solved. See solution.

Sorry for a simple question like this, but it's really not clear to me.

Do i need to install an antivirus software at the SEP Manager Server ?

And if i do, should it be managed from itself or unmanaged ?

I wonder if SEP Manager Server protects the server against viruses already... i think not.

   Thanks to all !

Yes, you still need to

Yes, you still need to install the SEP client separately from the SEP Manager.  I actually have both the old SSC and SEPM installed on a server (to serve both new SEP clients and old SAV clients) as well as the old SAV client installed.

SEP Clients needs to be installed

SEP Clients needs to be installed on the machine where the SEPM is installed.

SEPM is just a  management console. It  is used to manage the Clients and Policy. It doesnot provide virus protection

For Virus protection SEP Clients needs to be installed.

It would be good if it is managed. but if it is unmanaged it will not make a big diffrence.
