Antivirus/Antispyware Updates
Updated: 22 May 2010 | 3 comments
I recently deployed SEP to a couple of our branches. The first one was of about 130 computers and they are all getting updates no problem. Last night, I did an additional 40 systems and out of those, only 6 are getting the Antivirus/Antispyware updates. The rest still shows Jan 14th 2009. The Proactive Threat Protection and Network Threat Protection updates are being applied just fine. And hte 6 systems that are working are still getting all updates and are configured the same way as the ones that are having issues.
Any ideas?
Thanks

If I go to the internet to get the updates, it works just fine. Also, if I copy the VirusDefs folder from a system that works to a system that doesnt, the client reports it has the latest updates.
So, for some reason, the files in the Common Files\Symantec Shared\VirusDefs folder is not being populated with the latest updates. I even changed teh settings for this location to pull the updates from a distribution server that I know is working...but that didnt work either.
