The trial product is only the client software. There's no central administration, thus leaving out an important part of the product. To have the central console, SEP Managers, cenrtal policy creation etc. etc. you need to go for the non-trial product.

I can't see the point in trying out the client version, if you can't try out the server version......don't the two work hand-in-hand?  This is crazy, I can't see why I would want to buy this until I have a chance to see how easy/hard it is to manage, which I can't get from just a trial client. This really makes no sense.:robotmad:

I just installed Version 11 Trial on XPSP3. First, I was surprised to see that the install went thru without my PC having IIS installed??

Then, after completing, although I am able to login to console, find clients by name etc, I was not able to create a deployent package (got error code 2?????)

From what I see though, it appears that the trial is more than just client software.

Where is the knowledgebase - I need help resolving my error so I  can really try this out

Hi zuoom,

There is lot of difference between trial version & licenced version.
Trial version do not provides central administration facilities, they are only client av which works for certain period.
Full product comes with administration package, server AV.You can also create policies suiting your enviornment.
