Any problem after changing host name in PGP client.

    Hi Support,

     

    I have use PGP Desktop.

    If I am changing the machine name on encrypted system. Please suggested any problems are coming in PGP client or server site?

    Hi,
    This has no effect at all since the Machine registration is not tied to the hostname it is handled via a unique ID on the OS which is generated during installation (All client OS use the same method).
    The information will be even updated in the Advanced Screen in Boot guard (this issue got solved 10.1.x I believe)
    So with the next policy sync the Universal / SEMS should update and also after the next reboot Boot guard should have the updated information.
