Any problems moving offline vault-enabled mailboxes?

Hi there,

We're moving a few laptop users from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010. They use Outlook 2003 in cached-mode with an offline vault (EV904). Are there any known problems moving the mailboxes of offline-vault users please?

We've moved plenty of normal users without problems.

Thanks,

- Alan.

Hi Alan,

Offline Vault (Vault Cache) is being built from EV-server to Client. I believe that as long as that relationship stays in place it should remain functional. Is the 2010 mailbox archived on the same EV-server that now does the 2003 server?

Yes it's the same EV server - we only have one.

All that's changing is that the user moves from an Ex2003 server to an Ex2010 server.

Thanks.

Then I see no problem.

The functionality is an EV-server-EVclient one, and should be unrelated to exchange version.
