This issue has been solved. See solution.

Dear All,

I have a Resource with a multi-row data class and I need to remove all of the rows in the data class. I have found the "Remove Items from a Collection" component, but you need to give the list of items to remove.

Does anyone know what I can use to remove ALL of the items without know the exact information about each? I have tried passing the data class into the "Remove Items from a Collection" component twice (thinking that the Collection and the contents of the Collection would help) but this did not work.

Kindest regards,

In the Resource Model, there's a method called RemoveDataClassFromResource. It takes a resource GUID and a data class GUID. You might be able to generate a component against this, and if you have a collection of dataclass GUIDs already with the resource, you could loop through them all and call this component.

Thanks for the answer - I was just about to post the answer. I used a "Copy Data Element to a New Location Component" and copied the contents of the DataClass to this new Variable. Then I used a "Remove Items From a Collection" with the original Collection as the one to be removed and used the copied Variable as the items to be removed. That worked.

Hope that this helps someone else.

Kindest regards,
