This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hi there

Does APACHE ''resource type''  be used for IBM HTTP server  in VCS  setup?

Btb, IBM use APACHE in their IBM application server product suite which comes with HTTP server.

I tried but it does not seems to be working.  Has any one worked on this successfully ?

Thanks for your time.
Aby

I think, Apache Agent may not  be useful for IBM HTTP server.

Did you try to use Application Agent instead of using Apache Agent?

e.g For IBM HTTP server version 7.0.

Application IBM_http_server (

                StartProgram = "/opt/IBM/HTTPServer/bin/apachectl start"
                StopProgram = "/opt/IBM/HTTPServer/bin/apachectl stop"
                MonitorProcesses = { "/opt/IBM/HTTPServer/bin/httpd -d /opt/IBM/HTTPServer -k start" }
                )

Hi Aby, what error are you getting exactly? AFAIK, IBM HTTP server is based on Apache. The VCS agent for Apache could support all variants of apache based webservers as long as you have the "httpd" binary for running the web server and the ConfigFile attribute configured correctly.

folks,

sorry  for a late reply and thanks to you all for answering.

it was found that SF 5.0 had a bug on apache agent and got fixed on 5.0 MP3.

I upgraded 5.0 to 5.1 Rp1 and is going to try apache agent again next week.

tx  a lot
