Application becomes very slow after SEP installation

clients are using an application and after sep installation it becomes very slow.

antivirus and sonar logs doesn't show anything.

can you please help me to troubleshoot the issue?

are you talking about all the application or only specific like outlook etc?

is the scan running at the time of application access.

Application becomes very slow after SEP installation   Check the space in all drivers atleast we should have the free space more thean 1GB

And minimum Ram requried for SEP client machines 512 

Check in startup aney unwanted files runing if we feel aney unwanted files running in client machine uncheck those applications and restart the machines 

And check aney new virus is running in client machines if you find aney new virus take a sample and submit  to Symantec

Finaly delete temp files and cookies, prefetch etc in client machine and try.

I agree with Pete, Are you talking about an Internal Company software or any an application like Outlook and so??

Could you tell us more about this Application??

Is that application, using a Network of access Server??

Is that a Server - Client Application??

Yes, Antivirus and Sonar Logs would not show any thing as it is not either Quarantined nor Block by SEP.

Probably, your Application Transactions on the Network are being scanned by SEP.

In this case, you can either create a Centralized Exception for this Software. Check this Article:

When you say application is working slow are they locally installed or remotely install ?

Have you applied any custom application and device control policy ?

If answers to above question is NO,

Create a test group , Withdraw default application & control policy, monitor the performance for SEP clients.

You are using 12.1 RU1, it was a fresh install or upgrade ?

If upgrade what was the upgrade path ?

Since you are facing this issue ?
